Introducing Budgetable Deals – Deals Linked To Your Bank

in App

This project has been in the works for some time. There has even been some controversy around the idea of linking deals to your bank. But we think it’s a great idea, and more importantly, we think you’re going to really love it. Current Budgetable beta users have been using Budgetable Deals for about a week and the response has been awesome. In other words, Deals solves a real problem.

What is Budgetable Deals and what can it do for me?

The idea behind Deals is really simple and I think most of you can relate –I know I can.

Ever heard someone proudly proclaim, “You’ll never believe what kind of deal I got on this!”? Of course, right? I think there are two things at play when this happens.

  1. We all love telling our friends about a bargain.
  2. We mistakenly think it’s rare to get a deal on something. We’re used to paying full price.

The truth is that the stores we shop at always have some kind of deal, offer, or coupon that can (should) be taken advantage of. The problem is that most of us don’t have the time to find deals. Aside from a very small group of deal/coupon hobbyists (who by the way would never pay full price for anything), most of us simply don’t put in the dedication required to seek out deals, so we pay full price. And that’s ok, we all have our priorities.

We thought it would be cool if everyone could take advantage of great deals without having to put time into searching for them.

Budgetable solves this problem by linking to your bank and credit cards, identifying where you shop, and then allowing you to set “Deal Alerts” on your favorite stores.

  • Link your bank and credit cards to Budgetable
  • Budgetable identifies where you shop
  • Get email alerts when your fav stores have great deals

It’s really as simple as that. On that note, I’d like to say something about the quality of deals you’ll get on Budgetable. We won’t alert you of a deal unless it’s truly an awesome deal.

The deal alerts you receive from Budgetable are meant to be useful, not an annoyance! We’ll constantly strive to deliver only the best deals, offers, and coupons.

Lastly, don’t forget that Budgetable is meant to be an all-in-one solution for your personal finances. Everything you need to manage your money is built into Budgetable, so there is no need to use a separate tool.

I just wanted to drop in and say you guys have done a great job on the deals feature. I’ve probably already saved about $100 and this is stuff I usually buy (like you said) at full price. This is really innovative.

Is there some sort of search function one can access before signing up to see if their bank/credit cards are available through Budgetable? I’m in Canada and would like to know more about this first.
